Remere Login

Remere Login is a way to perform automatic user login. (Log users into websites with a single click.) See the Remere Login demo and the Remere Specification. Remere Login works by embedding CAPIS inside of HTML files.

CAPIS is a browser / HTML extension that allows the customization of browser helper programs -- without using Javascript. CAPIS allows a website to publish new services and define custom browser behavior without using Javascript. Browsers that support CAPIS can have their protocols (i.e. browser helper programs) customized by websites. Without using Javascript. One of these services is Remere Login.

CAPIS does three things.

• It defines a standard format for defining website services and protocol configurations. (In JSON.) (This is called a "Service Profile")
  (The JSON format can be thought of as defining a list of function arguments.)
• It defines a standard way to embed these JSON configurations in HTML. So that they can be used automatically. (This is called a FiskOffer)
• It defines a standard way to customize service invocations.
